Old Deer Quiz-night Raises £475

The members of both Old Deer classes ran a quiz-night event to raise funds
for GCRA. 17 teams took part raising the grand sum of £475 for our
Association. The quiz covered a wide
range of general knowledge and topical
affairs, and member Pat Hetherwick is
to be congratulated for her control and
organisation as quiz-master. Each table
provided a snack for themselves midway
through the quiz and a subsequent raffle
ensured a profusion of prizes for the guests.
Old Deer member John Robertson, one of
the organisers of the event, also ran his
own special raffle with a piece of stainedglass
artwork designed and crafted by
himself as the prize.
The membership and management of GCRA are greatly indebted to all
who not only organised this event but also to those who came along to
support it and enjoy the fun.
